Choosing the right school district is an important step for your family, and we’re here to make it simple and clear. The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) provides an easy-to-use online district map for you to quickly confirm whether your home address falls within our district boundaries. How the District Lookup Tool Works

KSDE partners with the Kansas Data Access and Support Center, part of the state’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) network, to offer an interactive map designed for Kansas families. With just an address search, you can:

• See which Kansas school district your home belongs to

• View district boundaries across the state

• Explore the locations of nearby schools

• Use helpful map features like built-in distance measurement

This tool is powered by the state’s GIS technology initiative, originally developed by the Kansas Geographic Information Systems Policy Board, which was established by the Governor in 1989 to guide statewide GIS policy and support agencies that rely on this technology.

A Note About Transportation Distances

The interactive map includes a distance-measuring feature for your convenience. However, to stay aligned with Kansas education regulations, please know that KSDE does not use the measured distances from this tool when determining transportation funding eligibility for students.

• If your student is entering a Preschool Program (3 and 4 year olds) or Kindergarten, Seal Elementary School will be having a Roundup on the following dates. Call the Elementary Office to schedule at 316-747-3350.
  • Kindergarten: April 10, 2026 1:30 PM- 5:30 PM. 
  • Preschool: April 17, 2026 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
    • Douglass offers numerous preschool programs (At Risk, Paid, and Special Education) that your child may qualify for. Give the office a call if you have interest or questions.
• If your student is in PreK – 12th grade, complete the New Student Enrollment Information Form. The information provided will give secretaries what is needed to get you started with the Bulldog Family! Once received and reviewed by secretaries, you will be contacted by the secretary of the building for the next steps to finish out enrollment.

2026-27 Walk- In/ Building Enrollment Information:

Elementary:
       July 30            11:00 AM-7:00 PM - Walk-in enrollment (new and transfer students or families who do not have computer access)

       Aug 4-11          Office Open for Enrollment 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

       Aug 12             First day of school

MS/HS:

       Aug 4-11         Office Open for Enrollment 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

       Aug 12            First day of school- new students and 6th/9th graders

**PARENTS HAVE THE ABILITY TO REQUEST BY APPOINTMENT FOR EVENING HOURS/BUILDING ACCESS**
 

For returning students, online enrollment will begin July 18^th, 2026 and will continue through July 30^th, 2026.

Parents/Guardians will access their EZSchool Enrollment portal to complete annual forms. If you have trouble logging in, use the “forgot” password link first. If the issue persists, contact the building secretary from the information above.
