DOUGLASS

I am a life-long BULLDOG!  I graduated from Douglass High School in 1978.

My teaching degree came from Wichita State University in 1990.

I have been teaching a variety of Language Arts classes here at Sisk Middle School since 1994.  Prior to full time teaching, I worked as a substitute teacher for our district.  I am a Bulldog, through and through!

After graduating from DHS in 1978, my high school sweetheart and I were married in April of 1980.  We have been blessed with three children who have attended Douglass schools from kindergarten to graduation.  Our daughter Jazmyne Burdette teaches at Bluestem Elementary and has blessed us with 2 grandsons!  Payton is a chemical engineering working in Kansas City and has followed that blessing with 2 granddaughters!  Rip has recently married and is a business manager working in Kansas City. Randy and I have adjusted to our empty nest and are enjoying our new role as grandparents!  It is a good fit for us!
